# Attach Files to Event Notes

> Add images and PDFs directly inside internal notes and event details

## Overview

Attach images and PDFs right inside rich text fields on an event — no separate upload step. Attached files flow onto the [event brief](/events/event-brief) automatically, so your field staff see them too.

You can attach files in:

* Internal notes on the event page
* Internal notes in the calendar's event slideover
* Event description, additional location details, and parking & loading info

<Note>
  Only images and PDFs are supported, up to 16 MB per file. Other file types are rejected.
</Note>

</Steps>

<Tip>
  Dragging a file anywhere on the page highlights fields that accept it with a dashed border. Drop it directly on a field to attach it there.
</Tip>

## Working with Attached Files

Each attached file shows as a tile — images show a thumbnail, PDFs show a file icon.

* **View**: Click the tile to open it full-screen
* **Rename**: Click the pencil icon on the tile
* **Remove**: Click the ✕ on the tile

<Warning>
  Backspacing over a file tile won't delete it — you have to click the ✕. This keeps you from losing a file by accident while editing text.
</Warning>

<Info>
  Internal notes save automatically when you click away, confirmed by a green **Saved** badge. `Cmd+Enter` (Mac) or `Ctrl+Enter` (Windows) still saves manually. If a file is still uploading, Flashquotes waits for it to finish before saving so it's never lost.
