Where conditions go

Conditions check details about the quote, booking, or contact. You use them in two places:
  • Only start when, on the trigger. Decides who starts the workflow. See triggers.
  • Branch paths. Send people down different steps partway through.
To end a run early, use Stop when on the trigger instead.

Build a condition

  1. Click Add condition
  2. Pick a field, like Event type
  3. Pick an operator, like is
  4. Pick a value, like Wedding
With 2 or more conditions, choose whether to match all or any of them. The default is all.

Condition fields

Fields by trigger

Each trigger only offers fields it has data for. Quote status only appears in branches. It changes over time, so a branch checks it when someone reaches it.

Branches

A branch sends people down different paths based on conditions.
  1. Click + and choose Branch
  2. Set the first path’s conditions
  3. Click Add path for each extra path
  4. Add steps under each path
People take the first path they match, left to right. Anyone who matches none continues on Everyone else, the path on the far right. Paths don’t join back up, so add the steps each path needs. To reuse steps on another path, copy and paste them. Flashquotes checks a branch when someone reaches it, using the latest details.

Example: different follow-ups for weddings

  1. Trigger: Quote sent
  2. Branch with one path: Event type is Wedding
  3. On that path, your wedding follow-up emails
  4. On Everyone else, your standard follow-up emails
Wedding quotes get the wedding emails. Every other quote gets the standard ones.
